*sigh* I've been feeling a little uninspired lately. Or, possibly, a little overinspired. So much so that I can't seem to focus on any one project for longer than 30 minutes. I so wanted to have something to show everyone by the end of the weekend, but that is just not going to happen.
I've also lost any mojo I once had for writing about what I'm doing. This is a knitting blog, right? There should be knitting on it, not just talking about knitting. I've got a basketful of pretty darn cool UFOs (*ahem* in my opinion) but I just can't seem to muster the energy to finish them and then write about it. Mid-winter blues, perhaps? I dunno...
Anyone have any cures for overinspiredness...aka knitting ADD?

no knitting. no thinking about knitting. then after a while, you'll get inspired out of nowhere.
Hi!
I'm Jenny from Sweden, and I thought I would introduce myself. I found your blog through LazyKateCreates, and I'm also doing her Lace KAL this year. I have a blog roll on my blog for the participants, and I figured I should at least know who I'm plugging, right?
I've only read a couple of posts here, but I really like your blog! I LOVED the photos of your surroundings up there in the north, it looks like you live in a very beautiful place. We have snow and pine woods here in Sweden too, but I'm not very far north where I live now, so we mostly get melted snow here (although it's actually been very cold for about 6 weeks now, which must be some kind of record, with the snow staying put and the temperatures below 0 centigrades all the time...).
I look forward to reading more from your blog, and we'll all have so much fun in the KAL!

Well, I'm not a good one to ask, since there has been no knitting around here for a week. Too much going on.
OK, that was a lie. I did knit last night, at a meeting so I wouldn't stab anyone. This week should be better...
Greetings from a fellow knitting ADD sufferer. I can't stop casting on for new projects, it's actually kind of out of control! I figure though that if you don't want to knit, don't knit! Do something that you do enjoy and sooner or later I reckon you will feel inspired to pick up your needles again. Don't let it become a chore. OR, you could knit something simple and lovely from some really beautiful yarn... for me, that can be a good way to restore my faith in the joy of knitting!
Knitting ADD? I usually walk away from knitting for a couple of days, read books that aren't on knitting and just try to vacation from it. After that, I feel like my head has cleared.
Good luck- I hope you feel better soon!
Hi Allison! I'm participating in Kate's lace KAL and wanted to stop by and say hello. I can relate to not being able to finish a project ... I have UFO's all over the place. Love the pictures of Alaska, they are gorgeous.
I think we all have these times and it can be a little scary.
This to will pass.
Just go to your stash touch and smell but if that doesn't work repeat at your LYS. If you don't get put in jail or in a hospital the negative yarn mojo should be gone.
