About Me

What can I say?  I'm an aspiring designer currently living in Alaska and I draw daily inspiration from my surroundings.  A transplant from the Midwest, I needed something to keep me busy during the long, dark months of the Alaskan winter.

During my first Alaskan winter in 2003, I taught myself how to knit and I haven't looked back since. I can remember that there were many tears in my early knitting days, as I was so frustrated that I didn't pick up the skill right away.  But I persevered and now you can find me knitting pretty much any moment of the day and I will gladly forgo sleep to finish just one more row.

I blog about my knitterly happenings here at Alaskan Purl.

Welcome!  I hope you'll come back to visit often!
